Tried to get back into some structure this week. The left knee appears to be an overuse - tendonitis kind of injury. I ran easy this week in the hopes I would heal up without having to take a layoff.

SundayAM - 51 miles - St Pete library ride, good pace, knee started to twinge so I went home early

Total: 8 hrs ride time, 2 45 run, 3.5 swim - made the decision Sunday evening to drop the running for a week (or 2 if necessary) and see if I can get my knee back on track. It was slightly uncomfortable in the warm up of the runs, but not painful, and then loosened up. Apparently just some patella tendonitis (ie, runner's knee). Will stay away from any big efforts on the bike as well. Definitely dropping the rest of the road races and may drop Great Clermont and Key Biscayne if necessary. So it goes.
